Educarex’ is a new version adapted to the web 2.0 that aims to give a “quality leap” with respect to the previous static portal, in which the user “simply read the contents presented”.
Likewise, the ‘Virtual Educational Community’, which is “the most innovative feature” of the new educational portal, will allow users to access specific and personal content. This space has a private and exclusive area for members of the educational community, which can be accessed with Rayuela credentials.
This area contains virtual classrooms, i.e., each teacher can have his or her own web space in which to host his or her materials, tools and tasks, and establish virtual communication with students.
On the other hand, the Minister of Education stressed that the ‘Virtual English Laboratory’ will serve to promote the language skills of students, and also of teachers, using the Internet and digital resources.
In the ‘Virtual English Laboratory’ you can find “a multitude” of digital educational content, recording tools, playback, consultation and creation, “designed to facilitate the learning of English in a flexible, fun and comprehensive way, with special emphasis on the skills of oral comprehension and expression”.

Another novelty included in the portal is the existence of an online platform, which will be operational at the end of January, and which will provide a wide and constant offer of distance courses which, due to the characteristics of this modality, will result in significant cost savings for this administration.
In addition, this portal implements an evaluation system through which the teacher himself will grade each of the training activities he carries out, which will allow him to know the quality of each one of them.
From the point of view of information on the quality of the speakers, the teacher also has the option of selecting, from this platform, those who get the best rating for the delivery of future courses.
