Xfera Móviles, S.A.U., d/b/a Yoigo, es el cuarto operador de telefonía móvil en España y una filial de la empresa española de telecomunicaciones Grupo MásMóvil[2]. Yoigo tiene licencia y red celular propia para las tecnologías GSM/2G, UMTS/3G y LTE/4G, y un acuerdo de roaming nacional para el uso de las redes 2G, 3G y 4G de Orange y Movistar[3].

Aunque se lanzó comercialmente en diciembre de 2006, la empresa se fundó en el año 2000, y tuvo un comienzo turbulento. Desde su creación, fue propiedad principalmente de TeliaSonera (ahora compañía Telia), y desde el 21 de junio de 2016 es propiedad exclusiva del Grupo MásMóvil, después de que la CNMC (organismo regulador como la Comisión Federal de Comunicaciones en España) autorizara la compra del 100% de su capital social.

En un principio, la compañía iba a llamarse Xfera, nombre que se refleja en su actual denominación registrada de Xfera Móviles, SA. Se constituyó en 2001 como consorcio para competir por una nueva licencia UMTS en España, que finalmente ganó. En aquel momento, sus principales accionistas eran la empresa francesa Vivendi, la constructora española Grupo ACS y la compañía de telefonía móvil escandinava Sonera (ahora Telia Company).
