The labor life report, which contains the history of contracts and contributions of a worker, is no longer sent by letter to homes, but there is the possibility of downloading it over the Internet. The General Treasury of the Social Security (TGSS) has incorporated this possibility into its Import@ss portal, within its web page (www.seg-social.es).
4. Self-employed. Self-employed workers, on the other hand, can view their data as self-employed: date of registration, activity carried out, contribution paid, insurance company and the coverage provided by the Social Security.
Know the periods of time that you have been registered with the Social Security for your work in companies as a salaried employee or self-employed. To do this, you can request your Certificate of Employment History online.
In the Citizens area of the Social Security Electronic Headquarters, you can access the service using your electronic certificate, which is a program that identifies you securely on the Internet, or without an electronic certificate. In the latter case, you will fill in a form and you will receive the certificate by mail.
Description: The work life report is a document that contains information regarding the situations of registration or deregistration of a person in the different regimes of the Social Security system as a whole.
In person: At the Social Security Administrations, in the event that it is needed urgently and cannot wait to receive it by mail. In these cases, the urgency must be documented, in addition to an identification document of the person (ID card, passport, NIE card).

The work life report is the official document that lists all the periods in which you have been contributing to the Social Security System, either as an employee or as self-employed.
By requesting it in this way, the certificate can be downloaded at the same time in PDF format and with an electronic validation code. In order to request it through this option, a certificate accepted by the Social Security is required.
The Social Security has a wide network of FNMT-RCM Electronic Certificate Registration Offices distributed throughout the country. There you can register your application by proving your identity and providing the documentation required by the FNMT-RCM for this procedure:
The fourth of the icons that we see in the image above, is the one that corresponds to request the report without digital certificate. If we do it by means of this option and we click on that icon we will get a screen that says: “The sending of the situation reports, requested through this service will be made to the applicant’s address existing in the databases of the General Treasury of the Social Security”. We have to fill in our data and click on the continue button.
