Marca (pronunciación en español: [ˈmaɾka]), estilizado como MARCA, es un diario deportivo nacional español propiedad de Unidad Editorial. El periódico se centra principalmente en el fútbol, en particular en el día a día del Real Madrid, el FC Barcelona y el Atlético de Madrid. Tiene una audiencia diaria de más de 2.500.000 personas, la más alta de España para un diario, y más de la mitad de los lectores de deportes, a partir de 2007[1].
Marca se fundó el 21 de diciembre de 1938, en plena Guerra Civil, en la ciudad de San Sebastián, en manos de los nacionalistas. Su primer director fue Manuel Fernández Cuesta. El 3 de septiembre de 1987, Luis Infante pasó a dirigir el periódico[2].
Punto Editorial SA era la propietaria de Marca[3]. En 1984 Espacio Editorial, que luego se llamaría Recoletos, adquirió el periódico[2][4] La empresa se fusionó con Unedisa en 2007 para fundar Unidad Editorial que es la propietaria de Marca[5].
El 25 de noviembre de 1942 dejó de publicarse como semanario y desde entonces se publica como diario. El diario fue galardonado con el premio al periódico mejor diseñado del mundo en 2004 por la Society for News Design (SND)[8].
