En este sentido, la organización del certamen confía en que su celebración el próximo otoño suponga un impulso definitivo para el mercado debido a la mejora del contexto económico y social, y a la crisis de los semiconductores, que actualmente está afectando a la fabricación de automóviles. El objetivo es contribuir a dinamizar la actividad en un momento clave para la industria del motor con estrenos de vehículos y propuestas comerciales atractivas para el gran número de visitantes que registra habitualmente este certamen.
El presidente de Automobile Barcelona, Enrique Lacalle, destacó la importancia que tiene para el sector la celebración de Automobile y la decisión de trasladarlo a otoño. En esta línea, destacó que “el salón de Barcelona ha sido y seguirá siendo una de las citas destacadas del calendario europeo y una extraordinaria plataforma comercial para las marcas. Con el cambio de fechas, buscamos garantizar nuestro papel como gran escaparate internacional de la automoción e impulsor de las ventas tras un periodo muy complejo”.
El salón reforzará su apuesta por la innovación en el sector de la automoción, con la digitalización y la descarbonización como temas principales de la nueva edición, retransmitirá estrenos de vehículos para periodistas y profesionales, y se realizarán pruebas de conducción y otras actividades relacionadas con el mundo del automóvil.
