Movistar Imagenio es un servicio de televisión IPTV prestado en España y operado por Telefónica. El servicio se inició como una prueba piloto comercial en la ciudad de Alicante en 2002 y posteriormente se extendió a algunas ciudades importantes como Madrid y Barcelona en abril de 2004[1].
A partir de marzo de 2006 la cobertura no incluye toda España. Las principales ciudades y capitales de provincia están cubiertas, pero no las zonas rurales ni las ciudades menores. Es posible comprobar on-line si el servicio está disponible para su línea telefónica en la página web de Imagenio.
La lista de canales incluye algunos canales internacionales en inglés, como CNN International y BBC World News. Además, para algunos canales, Imagenio permite al espectador cambiar instantáneamente de las versiones dobladas en español de los programas extranjeros a la versión en el idioma original. Esta facilidad está disponible para muchos canales digitales como TCM, Calle 13, Fox y Disney pero no para los canales nacionales terrestres/digitales como TVE, Antena3 o Telecinco.
La plataforma Imagenio de Movistar está impulsada por Alcatel-Lucent (antes Lucent Technologies) desde 2006. Anteriormente, la plataforma Imagenio era un desarrollo propio de Telefónica I+D (la rama de I+D de Telefónica). En 2006, César Alierta (consejero delegado de Telefónica) firmó un acuerdo con Patricia Russo (consejera delegada de Lucent Technologies en ese momento) para la transferencia de la tecnología base de Imagenio.

The access codes you receive in your email will be used to watch Movistar+ online from your computer (PC or Mac) or from other devices. For example, you can watch Movistar on a smartTV, access your Movistar+ account with an Apple TV or enjoy Movistar+ content with a Fire TV Stick.
Unfortunately, there is no Movistar app for PC or Mac, so you will only be able to access Movistar+ content from a browser. Even so, the service still offers the same content and functionalities that it offers in its apps for mobile, tablet and Smart TV.
However, since there is no Movistar app for computers, you will not be able to download the platform’s content to watch it offline. That is, you will always have to have an internet connection to use the service from a computer.
The Movistar+ service on devices, with which you can watch Movistar TV on your computer, is completely free. However, to access it you need to have a Movistar Fusión tariff. Therefore, it is free but it is necessary to contract one of these tariffs.

Movistar Plus+ (antes Movistar+) es el nombre comercial de la plataforma de suscripción a la televisión digital propiedad de Telefónica, que opera en España y se distribuye a través de fibra óptica y ADSL y también con satélites como Astra. La plataforma, que se lanzó oficialmente el 8 de julio de 2015, surge de la fusión de Canal+ y Movistar TV. Es el mayor proveedor de televisión por suscripción en España con 3,9 millones de clientes y un 46% de cuota de mercado[2].
En 2013, aunque ya habían ocurrido anteriormente durante 2008,[3] volvieron a aparecer algunas negociaciones sobre la venta de Canal+. Estas serían más reales debido a las prisas de los bancos por resolver la deuda de Prisa con ellos[4].
Es una plataforma de televisión de pago en España, propiedad de Telefónica. La plataforma, que emite por cable y satélite, fue lanzada oficialmente el 8 de julio de 2015 y surge de la fusión de las plataformas Canal+ (satélite) y Movistar TV (IPTV).
Desde 2013 se publicaron varias noticias sobre la posible compra de Canal + por parte de Telefónica para que PRISA pudiera eliminar parte de su deuda. Según los medios de comunicación, también había muchas empresas que querían comprar la plataforma de televisión de pago, como Al Jazeera, Vivendi y el magnate de Liberty Global, Rupert Murdoch. Sin embargo, esta venta no tuvo repercusión mediática y parecía que las negociaciones y ofertas se alargaban mucho.

Lo único que tienes que hacer es comprar el paquete LaLiga por M+ y sincronizar los canales del paquete. Si quieres ver el partido en tus dispositivos móviles, tendrás que esperar hasta el día siguiente para que se actualice la oferta que has contratado.
Hasta 2 televisores. El segundo televisor tendrá los mismos canales disponibles que el primero. Para ello, será necesario contar con una conexión de cable de categoría 5 ó 6. Para que la señal llegue a un segundo televisor. El precio de un decodificador de televisión adicional es de 5 euros/mes.
