Subsequently, the second The Stig was on for no less than 12 consecutive seasons. Throughout that time it was speculated that even the former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher was the real The Stig, information that the program was responsible for denying with his usual sense of humor. However, it was not until 2010 when it was revealed that Ben Collins was the one who really gave life to The Stig. The information came from the pilot’s own biography entitled ‘The Man Behind the White Suit’. This provoked the anger of the show’s producers, which led to the immediate dismissal of Ben Collins.

The Stig es un personaje del programa de televisión británico de automovilismo Top Gear. Creado por el antiguo presentador de Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson, y el productor Andy Wilman, el personaje juega con el anonimato de los cascos integrales de los pilotos de carreras, con la broma de que nadie sabe quién o qué hay dentro del traje de carreras de Stig. La identidad del Stig “negro” original, Perry McCarthy, fue expuesta por un periódico dominical en enero de 2003, y confirmada por McCarthy más tarde ese mismo año. El Stig negro fue posteriormente “asesinado” ese octubre en el estreno de la serie 3, y sustituido en el siguiente episodio por un nuevo Stig blanco que duró hasta el final de la serie 15.
En el episodio 1 de la serie 13, el programa desenmascaró en broma a Stig como el piloto de F1 Michael Schumacher, siete veces campeón del mundo. En el parón que siguió a la serie 15, se reveló que el piloto de carreras Ben Collins era Stig en una batalla judicial sobre la inminente autobiografía de Collins, titulada El hombre del traje blanco. En la serie 16, que se estrenó en diciembre de 2010, Collins fue sustituido por un segundo Stig blanco, cuya identidad ha permanecido hasta ahora en secreto.

Well, Top Gear has already spoken out, revealing the BBC’s best kept secret. Faced with the evidence, they have had to inform the world who the pilot is. Surely no one expected it, but The Stig is really Graham Hill. Wait a minute, didn’t the two-time F1 world champion die in 1975 in a plane crash?
If you know anything about economics, it goes without saying that both businesses in which this man was involved are bankrupt. This is because Sir Tom McKillop was unable to attend meetings on Wednesdays, the day the program was shot. During the rest of the week, he was analyzing the Top Gear circuit to squeeze the most out of the cars that passed through his hands.
OMFG, the most powerful man in the world is The Stig! Yes, as you read it, Barack Obama himself is the driver of the white jumpsuit. Unbelievable. A proof of that is this image you see, with the presidential limousine driven by himself, carrying a mannequin of himself in the back to throw you off the scent.
Who is the current stig
Although its roots are in the UK, “Top Gear” has become a worldwide sensation for gearheads and those who are simply fans of big, fast, exotic cars alike. The show was performed in several countries around the world: the United States, Russia, Australia and many others.
One of the common threads among the various versions of “Top Gear” that have emerged since Jeremy Clarkson revived the series for the BBC in 2002 is the enigmatic driver known simply as The Stig.
In 2019, when the MotorTrend show was being organized, the site published an “exclusive interview” with the new Stig. However, it was essentially a series of questions about the car with three bullet points given as “answers” from The Stig over and over again.
